Wina Poliquin is the founder and the body piercing practitioner of Art Therapy Corp.
She offers a holistic approach with a modern high standard procedure to the sacred art. She is also a mother, and the president of Wide Arts National Association. Building, supporting and healing community through arts is a deep rooted purpose of hers.
Looking for somewhere to host circle or a guided meditation?
The studio is available for meeting circle & guided meditation in the evenings and on certain day upon request.
Where we started
A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE
It started with Chris Gunn as Body Inc Too in May long week end 2004 and 2 young French Canadian, myself and Simon Drolet. We walked the back alley from what was previously the laundromat in the Sears building (now needs gym) with no idea that fate was about to happen around the corner on Spartan drive.
We took full ownership in 2007 and changed the name to Art Therapy Corp and redid the place.
We lived in a tent for a full year the first year (3 months south ) Some weeks we would barely make 100$. I had to work 3 jobs to sustain ourselves and the studio at some point. I have saved those hand written accounting documents that I go back to when days are harder. It reminds me how far I have come.
We kept traveling the world while running the studio 9 months a year. Simon quickly became one of the best Tattooer at the time and shared all his art and talent creating the space.
When Covid happened we had a full reset to ensure the studio would grow and keep thriving in the right direction, leaving only me as the main operator.
Very happy to have such wonderful artists coming and going to share space here and family like bond that has formed with some of them through the years. There is no words to describe the love that I feel for the Osoyoos community, Art Therapy Corp and everyone that makes this dream possible.
